LT, I told my dad about your mom outshooting most of the men in her CHL class. He got a kick out of hearing that.
Teachers ???? making math errors.????
I had a hard time in the 3rd grade & thought I was the only one that did that.

Math was never my forte.

Venus, I'm 53, Mom's 78 and Dad's 80. They both can out shoot me. Even with my own guns.

However, it's not who shoots best (yeah right) it's the time spent togeather that counts most.

Good shooting from both of you.

I know my father can outshoot me. You ever heard of a natural shooter. Well, my dad is one of 'em. I brought my PX4 out to my folks place one night and we went out back with two or three pears that had fallen off his tree. I sat one up in front of a wooden railroad tie that was backed by a large pile of dirt. We paced off about 15yds and decided to shoot from there, and I said he could move up if necessary.

Anyways, my father is not, by any means, a "gun guy" He hasn't shot a handgun in nearly 8~10 years. And the only gun in their house is a shotgun that has only been fired by me.
So, I give him the first crack at it, expecting to let him try a few rounds, and then I'll take over and hit the thing.
Well, he lines up, frames up the weapon, addresses the target, and BOOM!!! Bits of pear and juice go flying through the air. It was almost surreal. My dad, the certified public accountant who never shoots anything, just nailed a 2.5 inch pear from 15yds out in less than optimal lighting (around 7:30PM) with a gun he had never held before that day, ON HIS FIRST SHOT!!!

I was stunned.

So, seeing as it was so easy, I sat another one up...
and couldn't hit it to save my life.

I've got to say, I was quite proud of the ol' guy. And knew that I would be needing a lot more range time.
