Veterans being added to NICS

Re: Veterans being added to NICS
During my last 6 years in the Army, I was assigned to (he he) military intelligence. I had a young specialist working for me that was not allowed to be around weapons due to some medication, she worked every day in a highly classified and very sensitive area. In other words she was allowed to handle national secrets but not a gun because she might commit suicide. I don't understand the Feds worry that someone with PTSD is going to snap. I will say any combat vet with a CHL if faced with deadly force will not hesitate.

That isn't what I intended to say some way "coping" got put into the sentence. Dang spell check/grammar checker. Thanks for pointing that out v-rog.v-rog wrote:Just a point of clarification, PTSD is a reaction, not a coping reaction.MoJo wrote:PTSD is not exclusive to combat veterans. Victims of violent crimes, crash survivors, survivors of natural disasters, and many other trauma survivors can and do have PTSD. PTSD is a coping reaction to something horrible that's happened in your life.
