Dallas/Fort Worth Gun Show: 4/28/07 - 4/29/07

Post by NguyenVanDon »

Start date: Saturday, April 28, 2007 (9:00 AM-6:00 PM)

End date: Sunday, April 29, 2007 (9:00 AM-5:00 PM)

Location: Dallas Market Hall

__________

This will be my first time to a gun show. I have never been to one before. So I got a 2 questions...

- Are CHL'ers allowed to carry inside?

- Is there an age requirement to attend the gun show?

I hope I'll meet some of ya here! I'm young asian looking male wearing cargo shorts with a green polo shirt. ;-)

So who's all going this weekend?

CHLers can go in, just not with a loaded handgun. ;-)

I am not sure if there is an age restriction. If so, I would think 18 unless with a parent or guardian.

Well, if they conduct it in the same manner as the Fort Worth Gun Show at Will Rogers a few weeks back, then CHL'ers may be able to carry, fully loaded (but obviously concealed).

You will have to check out the entrances and verify that a 30.06 sign isn't present. Unfortunately, most of the time, they are.

I don't believe there is an age limit. I doubt they will let a 10y/o in alone, but thats just good sense.

Market Hall has a 30.06.

Have your firearm unloaded before you get to the table to have your firearm checked clear, or they will keep your ammo.

Once your firearm is checked clear (and tie wrapped), you can re-holster and conceal it.

I will most likely be there Saturday afternoon.

I'll be there Sunday on a mission to find a Glock 29 and maybe a Kel-Tec P3AT.

Seems kinda strange legal CHL'ers can't carry in probably the safest place on the planet.

Then whats the point of having it at all?
I walked around Will Rogers Col. trying to figure out just why so many people brought in a useless piece of steel in a holster and they had no intention of trading.

Conversation starter or someone might want to test fit a new holster or see how a tac light might look on it. One of my co-workers took his in at the last Bigtown gun show and had about 10 people ask if he wanted to sell it. Dont rember what it was but it was an older smith and wesson I belive. Other than that I got nothing.

BUT, the problem with getting a new holster is that with that dang zip tie through the barrel, the gun won't fit in the new holster properly.

I'll be there. Probably on Saturday.

I think I'm ready to buy an M-4. I'm leaning toward the RRA Entry Tactical, but if I see a Colt for a good price I may go that way.
