Just accept that's the way it is.
Yep!

If too many folks raise a stink, then the dealer decides not to accept plastic at all.

A few correctly show a cash discount instead of a credit card surcharge, but for most it's too much trouble.

If you think about it from the perspective of the dealer, I can see their point. They end up paying a portion of the sale to the CC company, why not pass that cost on to the card user?

Credit Cards

Post by Piney »

Greetings--

Just curious about ther CC issue-- it may be that a specific CC firm doesnt charge, but the vendor supplying the wireless CC machine access in the hall may charge. There are a lot of these exclusive service provider type contracts in convention/exhibit halls.

*shrugs*

I either use cash. I hate to walk through a large parking lot...unarmed.... with a large amt of cash !! I'll use my checking account debit card if its a large purchase.

just a note, on a $300, 3% surcharge is $9.

doesn't seem like a whole lot, but it's still lame.

That could have been a box of practice ammo. ;-)
