WTT: Kimber Stainless II .45 ACP

Post by RottenApple »

I'm looking to move to a smaller carry pistol. 5" of stainless steel is just getting to be too much to conceal. I love the 1911 platform, especially Kimbers, and would prefer to stay in that area. So I'm looking for a 1911 with either 3" or 4" barrel. This pistol comes with 3 Kimber 8rnd mags and 1 Kimber 7rnd mag. I'm in the DFW are and will only trade FTF with CHLs.

You can find full specs at Kimber's website.

Round count?

If this has been your carry weapon, what is the surface condition on the slide?

Good questions, DaveT. I should have posted that.

Round count is approx 1,500. It's well broken in and the trigger is exceptionally smooth.

As for slide condition, that is excellent. I only use all leather holsters with this firearm, so there are no marks whatsoever. I've added 2 more pics here showing both sides of the slide.

oh man, that is gorgeous.

I have a customized Citadel officer's model with about 1,000 rounds through it. Trijicon night sights, polished slide, original owner... perfect working order, super accurate, zero problems.

i know it's a long shot but i thought i'd throw it out there... i've been wanting to move up in barrel length for some time now.

I appreciate the offer, but I'm really hoping that someone has a Kimber they'd be willing to trade. If not, well... I'll figure something else out.

While it doesn't solve your goal of trading FTF, you should reach out to Bob Serva at Fusion Firearms. I have one of his 5" Scout models and it's the smoothest 1911 I've ever shot. Certainly nicer than any Kimber I've shot(and I've owned a few, and shot many others).

Best of all, custom 1911 without the typical custom 1911 price.

Where were you before I spent the $$ on Meprolites and a custom Nitengale holster for my 3" Ultra Carry? Where?

Guess I should have looked back in here sooner....... I logged in this evening to see what you would think about a stainless Ultra TLE with grey Kimber logo Crimson Trace laser grips as a trade.

Oh we'll, congrats anyway ! :clapping:

Well, this is it. I've cleaned and lubed it with Eezox and she's as smooth as butter (not that she wasn't before). I'm VERY happy with this trade and looking forward to carrying this pistol for years to come.

Was also great meeting Derek. Hope to see you at the get together at Elm Fork!
