Go to http://sigforum.com and check out the classified. Lots of bargains to be had but you have to be quick! You might also consider a P6 made in Germany or Switzerland, they can be had for around $400 and are great P226 look alikes. You may have to register to PM in the classified, but a lot of sellers have their email in profile.

Thanks! I'm on there as well. Usually easier to find DFW FTF here though. :)

Not a lot of bargains right now. It seems people got their prices all jacked up. Some are outrageous, most just above true market. Guess they are testing the market.

Go to viewtopic.php?f=20&t=64117" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and see a P226 for sale by forum member gclooney, with barrels for .40 AND .357 Sig, plus multiple magazines.

I did. I even posted on the topic before this post. He's in Houston.

I don't mean to harass anyone. I know how it is to be on the hunt for a firearm and it not being available.

It appears Glocks at selling for $600 or higher. I can only imagine what a Sig cost.

Good luck. I know you will find what you are looking for.

Re: WTB: Sig P226 - 40S&W - FOUND

Post by Zen »

Found what I was looking for - used, but with no rounds down the chamber - a pure safe queen! I opted for a 9mm instead since I have a P239 in that caliber as well. 40 ammo is a little difficult to find and more expensive, so I'm cool with that decision.

Thanks to all who offered suggestions!
