Acevedo Joins Political Circus in Washington

Post by gthaustex »

Instead of doing his job in Austin, the top cop is in Washington, testifying for gun control....

I wonder if the taxpayers are picking up the tab for his trip?

Taxpayers are paying the tab for barry to fly the families from Connecticut around on his Gungrabber 2013 tour on AF1. May as well pay for Acevedo.

Keep a list.

Given that he is from Kalifornia and hired by leftist politicians, what else do you expect. Like many police chiefs, especially those in large cities, he is a politician first and a cop second.

The part that annoys me is that the lay LEO is not allowed to wear a uniform to do political activities. The Chief was at the capital pro gun control protest last week as well speaking. Many of us would have been in uniform at the PRO 2nd amendment rally in Jan but it violates most dept policies nationwide.

Additionally there are many good conservative leos and non leos moving from liberal CA to TX. Funny thing is I moved from a CONSERVATIVE County to LIBERAL Travis County..feels like I went backwards. :smash:

Think of yourself as an undercover asset - planted in liberal country specifically to moderate the liberal influence. :biggrinjester:

You should have landed pretty much anywhere around Travis, just not in Travis Co. and you would have been fine. That said, even though the county population itself tends to be more liberal, the LEOs I knew and worked with way back when tended to lean much more conservative.

Slight drift....

I don't see how he could resist, surprised he hasn't put the plane at their disposal to fly around wherever the spirit moves them to go.

In the ** Commie playbook, nothing is more important than to be a victim, to have a crisis, and take every advantage of those circumstances. Nobody pays any attention to them otherwise. The parents of those lost little children are pure PR gold. Sobbing on Good Morning America, missing those precious children, taken from them cruelly by a lunatic with a gun. The only thing to do to assuage that grief is to never let anyone have a gun, period. Who is deserving? Those parents in their grief, or the lunatics?

Queen For A Day! on steroids.
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

Also known as Saul Alinskhy's "Rules for Radicals". Good read if you want to try to use the same tactics to fight the enemy within. Although tactics seem to have gone beyond what Alinsky is prescribing.
