Hey folks, I'm hoping you'll have the suggestion. I'm looking for a range finder that is cheap but rugged and accurate. Would like to use it to set my rang up at 12.5. 25, 50, and 100 yards without breaking the bank. Doesn't have to be pretty... Just stout and a fair value. If I could get into one at $150 - $250 that would be great. The low cost ink ons look like they will fit the bill but I don't want a thug. And directions or sales, doesn't have to be top of the line...must needs to be rugged and hold up well.Any brands considered would be much appreciated.
Thanks for ahead kindly for your expertise,

I just pick up a Bushnell Scout Arc 1000 Field of Honor Edition on clearance at Academy for $180, normally $300. I have only ranged out to about 450 yds. Seems ok for the money. I have read many reviews and the biggest complaint is about how this thing goes through batteries fairly quickly.
5X24 mangnification. In bow mode the ARC gives the degrees and corrected distance ( AHR) in rifle mode it gives the arc, range and holdover for a preprogrammed ballistics chart. I simply use the normal mode for straight range and angle and do the math myself to get the actual horizontal range for my long range correction calcs.
For the price, it has features I like and does what I need it to so far. Even if I end up with a better one someday, no regrets on purchase.
I think a newer model, a 6x has since come out.

Yep, the Bushnell worked out perfectly! Honestly, I just took it out of the box and immediately starting using it. Dont even know what model it is.... just know it worked perfectly for my needs. Small, one button and a little case for it to hang off my belt. My LGS sold it for $200 clams, a little high (saw it for around 170ish at Optics Planet) but I wanted to give him some business and I needed it for the range yesterday. Gun shop owner set it on Yards for me and i was good to go. Guess I'll have to eventually read the instructions...
Thanks for all the advice and help folks!
