Town Rallies Around Eagle Scout Facing Expulsion over Gun

Cole Withrow was just a few weeks from graduating with honors at North Carolina’s Princeton High School. But on Monday, the Eagle Scout and active church member was expelled and arrested after he accidentally left a shotgun in his pickup truck.

Two teachers in the school had brought guns to school and no criminal charges were filed against them.

If this is their law or policy, then there shouldn't be an issue. He didn't knowingly or willingly bring it onto the property.

Before my wife and I had our CHLs we were going on a trip. For some reason I put a hand gun in a little compartment in the back of her car (at the time she had a Scion XB).
Months later I looked in the location where I normally kept the gun and couldn't find it. I went into panic mode for several hours before remembering to look in the compartment in the car.
So, I do believe he didn't knowingly bring the weapon onto the school property. In fact, the way the thing is written, unless you caught someone with a gun in their hand I don't know how you could prove that they knowingly and/or willingly brought a firearm onto the property.

That's his problem. If he was a gang banger he'd be a victim, he'd be let go, and the incident would be hushed up. Here they have the chance to ruin the life of a good kid knowing that a kid like him might otherwise grow up to be a influential opponent of collectivism.
