We had fun at church the other day (we attend a Cowboy Church that's outdoors when the weather is right) when a grackle kept challenging the preacher for the rostrum. I offered to shoot it on the wing, but "all God's creatures" are welcome I guess.

They're quite intelligent birds. They are very common in these parts, especially in Austin. Most people don't like them, as they have a loud and distinctive call, and have a high population density.
