Here's the wife shooting our .308 Bushy - video

Post by johncanfield »

Had a fun time at the range today. I shot about 20 rounds through the Bushmaster and dear wife (for the first time) shot the Bushmaster. She did great and had a bulls-eye after just a little bit of coaching, very proud of her, she enjoys shooting :thumbs2: .

Here's the video.

Great looking rifle. I do not believe my wife would have went past the first round. She does good with the .223, but she would have probably stopped.

Good job. :thumbs2:

Thanks guys! I'm not sure she wants to shoot it again, but I'll make the offer. Very happy with my setup and anxious to throw some more lead down range :thumbs2: (or at a hog.)

She did great!

I'm guessing your rifle weighs far less than the almost 11lb. (with 20 round magazine) Army issue M-14?

If so, I'm sure the recoil is greater too.

Kudos to Jane!!

Thanks!

I can tell you for this 60+ year old guy, the Bushy gets heavy after carrying it for about a mile ;-) - I need a sling. I need to weigh it with 20 rounds of 180 grain lead in the magazine. I'm thoroughly enjoying owning and shooting it! (And it's always fun to introduce the wife to new things.)
