This country is in real trouble.

“Our” government allows guns to be smuggled to Mexican drug cartels and no one of any consequence is held responsible for it. “Our” government spies on the chief Washington correspondent for Fox News. “Our” government spies on the Associated Press. Now we find out that “our” government grabbed the phone records of over a million Verizon customers, backed by a federal judge.

What has this country turned into? How much more do we not know about because it is kept secret, federal employees are afraid to “blow the whistle” and reporters would be afraid to report it if they did?

I have truly begun to fear “our” government. I would lay odds that “our” government has someone monitoring this forum and every other pro gun forum on the web. I would also lay odds that they have looked into the background of more than a few people that post to these forums.

This government is paranoid and it is about more than terrorism. Remember when “our” government labeled returning veterans “potential terrorists”?

I could go on and on with examples of an out of control government. We have a president that “doesn’t know” what the people that work for him are doing or can’t control them. Either way, he should not be president.

I am beginning to wonder if the DOJ has something on Obama. Oh well, I guess I will have the government checking my background now.
God Bless America, and please hurry.

OK, flat out gangster corruptness in the high ranks of our government have been so regular lately, I just thought something else broke and I missed it. Agree with your anger. Your signature line is in my prayers.

We put an inept Chicago political hack in the White House. I'm honestly surprised anyone is surprised at the results.

Whenever anyone objects to things like common citizens being groped at airports, phone call tracking, email and facebook snooping, pictures recorded, cameras on highways that record every passing license plate, citizens' every move observed by the coming drones, the effort to record every gun in america, etc, etc,; It's always for our "safety". There are a few examples of terrorist plots being intercepted, but I notice the entire system fails spectacularly all too often in stopping terrorists. People like the Fort Hood terrorist and the Boston bombers. Their obvious descent into radical extremism was ignored. It seems perhaps the upper management of our government is really far more eager to employ all of this to watch the voting masses and record staggering amounts of information. With the advent of computers powerful enough to make sense out of all that data, the day arrived when our government could be almost god-like in it's ability to find out just about anything about anyone. What despotic person could ever resist that much power?

When I was young and naive and being nurtured by the public schools in California ( 1952-1961 ) I just slurped up all that neat stuff about the American revolution, our self sacrificing founders, the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and how the " checks & balances" installed by LAW ensured that some maniacal lunatic - or communist - could NEVER gain control of our country and leading it straight to it's own destruction.

Our government are terrorists.

They passed tyranny a long time ago.
