Agreed. I live in Houston, but I've been out of the country for the last few weeks, so I had to search to look this up.apostate wrote:They certainly have a lot of rules and regulations for something pretending to be a celebration of freedom.Be that as it may, I'm pretty sure it's a city park.

The event is on city owned property.
No, it isn't. It is up to the Texas Legislature and they already said "no."blackdog8200 wrote: I agree about the city owned part but that is always subject to the event organizer....
I think you're thinking of the Wings Over Houston Airshow.mnewlander wrote:Parts of Elington field are still government owned and therefore it would not be advisable to bring a side arm seeing as there is no distinctive line on what is govt. property and what is not. Don't think i would chance it.
Ellington Field is owned by the City of Houston. While there may be some federal government leased buildings, the terminal and main buildings are city owned. You would just have to make sure not to enter any buildings leased by a federal agency (Air Guard, Air Force, etc.)mnewlander wrote:Parts of Elington field are still government owned and therefore it would not be advisable to bring a side arm seeing as there is no distinctive line on what is govt. property and what is not.
