You're not homeless. You're in Texas; That's HomeJALLEN wrote:I'm happy to report we made it to Texas safe and sound. Our home closed Friday, so we're homeless people for a few days. Just happ to be here!

Thanks for all the kind replies.
The process so far has been astonishingly smooth. Our home in Coronado closed right on schedule, the moving crew had worked like rented mules to load an enormous truck with all our belongings, the drive with guns, ammo, and cats was trouble free. My Lexus LS430 was getting ~25 mpg on the long freeway drive, very gratifying for a big comfortable V-8. The worst part was staying overnight in El Paso, which is at something like 4,000' elevation. Even tethered to the O2 concentrator it was hard going.
Escrow closes on our new home today while we head over to Houston to pick up my sister in law arriving from France. The furniture arrives tomorrow and the real work begins!
It sure is hot.

Ah, El Paso. The land of... dust. Hope you wore a mask and goggles while you were there. My sister-in-law lives there temporarily and found out that you can't leave the car windows down over night or you will end up with an inch of dirt covering the entire inside.. LoL.
Welcome home brother.

If the 2nd admendment only applies to muskets and muzzle-loaders, then the 1st admentment must apply only to the spoken or printed word. Printing must be done on hand presses, news stories must be written in longhand, no keyboards or electric processes may be used.

With my lung ailment it is the altitude more than the dust that causes problems, although dust would only add to it.cmwoodruff wrote:Ah, El Paso. The land of... dust.
