Doesn't matter. Students go out all over the place for Internships. My kid is an intern at an online news company and is being taught about the industry. She even got college credit for her interning last semester, but it is NOT a school.cb1000rider wrote:That's teaching.brhalltx wrote: Medical students may see patients alongside doctors there.

I think of it more like a field trip... But definitely well into the gray.cb1000rider wrote:That's teaching.brhalltx wrote: Medical students may see patients alongside doctors there.

Just because teaching is taking place does not make it a school. I owned my own clinic ans "precepted"students. I was not their teacher and I did not give them grades. If there is a group of students at the children's museum with their teacher does it automatically become off limits? I don't believe so

The more I think about it, I'd probably qualify it as an "internship" - with a non-obvious exception might be for "teaching" hospitals. Teaching hospitals in Texas have "University" in the name, but that's not always the case in other states.
