Kahr leaving NY

Post by A-R »

Interestingly, Kahr (because of their focus on slim single-stack semi-autos) is one of the few pistol makers whose lineup almost entirely fits within the new NY 7-round mag limit. But theyre still leaving.

Good for Kahr. And think of all that "revenue" (tax money) that the State of New York will lose. It just warms my heart.

Great. I like to see people/companies actually take action. I think that speaks pretty loudly.

I'm glad they're leaving and hope others follow along, but I do wonder about unintended consequences.

Once all of the businesses are gone, it's not like the remaining citizens are going to wake up and say, "Wait. We want those businesses back. Let's support guns after all."

No, instead, the remaining demographics will be ever increasingly skewed against gun rights. Maybe they're already too far to redeem, but without even a remnant of opposition, the antis will be given a rubber stamp to pass any laws they want.

Sad.

I am happy they are leaving New York, they should get their production and assembly operations out of Worcester, Massachusetts while they are at it. Long time Kahr owner and glad to see them step up.

It's already happened. Better for them to get out now & quit funding a state government that's openly hostile.

why stay operating in a lost-cause state when other, more pro states will welcome you with open arms?
