"Blue" sign

Post by Dirthawking »

Okay stupid question here. I know that there are specifics on what/how 51% and 3006 signs are made/posted. What about the blue signs?

I know it means nothing to us for conceal carry, but I ran across a sign at a resturant that was posted in very small letters on a glass door at foot level. It was very hard to see, and my wife never even noticed it until I pointed it out to her.

Sections 11.041 and 61.11 of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Code say "[t]he sign must be at least 6 inches high and 14 inches wide, must appear in contrasting colors, and shall be displayed in a conspicuous manner clearly visible to the public."

Red sign means no carry. Business derives 51%+ of revenue from sale of alcohol for on-site consumption.

Blue sign means carry is OK.

By the way, what is "studider?" "rlol"

I would recommend you read here.

Also, it should have been covered in your CHL class.

If you've gone 60 years without it, why start drinking coffee now? :biggrinjester:

Didn't intend to bust your chops - just poking at you a little.

I do think you are on to something - the signs should be green instead of blue. You stop for blue lights (flashing in your rearview mirror), and for red lights, but not green lights, so the blue sign should be green.

30.06 signs are few and far between - especially out here in the sticks. Only when I journey to Fort Worth (hospital, zoo, museums, and gun shows) do I really worry I might run into one.

Some of my friends from way back play in a band and I have been in local dive bar 51% locations to see them, but most places where I eat and have a beer with my meal are blue sign territory. Although Woody's in Mineral Wells (51%) makes "The Best Hamburger in Texas". YMMV

LOL. Im just on the outskirts of SA (South). The only 30:06 sign i have seen so far in SA is Peter Piper & a 1 movie theater.
I have to admit. Id leve my gun in the car for a great burger!!!! :iagree: In Pleasenton where I live the only signs Ive seen are the post office!!!
The only time im in a bar is to see our band friends too. Havent seen them sense I've had my CHL. Some of the places they play are Food & Bar.
I'll be sur eto check 50% next time we go to hear thyem play. Texas Rock for Country Rollers!!!!
