Wahooo, Waco! Thank you for pointing me to F.M. I live just a few miles from there and pass it all the time, but never noticed it. Guess I need to open my eyes a little! Y'all know what I'm doing this weekend!! :fire

Not to armchair quarterback, but I'm going to armchair quarterback...

If the panic level was that high and you felt it necessary to clear the house, and plan on doing it again, I HIGHLY suggest you and your husband get some good training. Even minor things like "slicing the pie," how to move through doorways, light discipline, and how to address deep threats would help.

LEOs usually never clear a house alone....it is prohibited by most policies. If your house is all beds up, absent more hands, I would check the kids and then setup a nice kill box on the stairwell.

There's been more than a few home invasions towards my side of Houston so it is a scenario I've been running through lately.
