That's amazing! Last year this time, status' updates took a minimum of 3 weeks and the background checks were just as long! I'm glad DPS finally got it together.

I sent my app Certified on July 05. Delivered on July 09.
As of today, July 19 it still shows that DPS is waiting on the paperwork.

I sent mine on 6/28. DPS didm't update ANYTHING until 7/15 (right to Manufacturing pending). Now, I am stalking the mailbox.

So, that's what I think they do to nearly everyone.... except for X... Radioactive. 10 days...mailbox to mailbox. Now, that's insane!

yes it was mailed certified on the 12th and was supposed to be there the 15th.

When you send it certified they have to sign for it and if no one signs they take it back to the post office and a dps agent has to physically go and sign for it eventually. I heard sending certified isn't the best way for that reason. Is it showing it was delivered to DPS or it just doesn't show being delivered at all...? If its been delivered give it about 2 weeks before you see a status update on the DPS site. I sent mine the 11th priority mail, was received the 13th and still waiting on a update on the site... :(

My certified delivery said:

"Arrival at unit July 9 2013 2:17 PM Austin, TX"
I suppose that means it is there ready for delivery because after that it says,

"Delivered July 9, 2013 2:55 PM Austin, TX"

It has now taken 2 weeks after delivery for my status to update.
