What does that mean? BMW's are manufactured in South Carolina. Mercedes Benz's are manufactured in Mississippi. Chevrolet's are manufactured in Mexico. Toyota trucks are manufactured here in Texas. Is there such a thing as an American made vehicle any more?Oldgringo wrote:Yes! Whatever you do, don't buy an American made vehicle.
The Constitution preserves the advantage of being armed which Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation where the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms. James Madison

You're about 3/4's right. Mercedes-Benz are made in Alabama, about half way between B'Ham and ROLL TIDE city. My 2500 Dodge Cummins came out of Mexico.baldeagle wrote:What does that mean? Re: Honda Odyssey or Toyota Sienna?
We tried to avoid minivans...test drove every crossover and SUV on the market and just couldn't find anything we liked. Then we tried a minivan and we were sold - there isn't any pride to be lost in driving a minivan!
We opted for the Sienna - the Odyssey felt cheap and uncomfortable compared to the Sienna. The 3rd row seats were easier to raise/lower. The keyless feature (not sure if the Odyssey has this or not) is something I cannot live without. I stick my key in my pocket when we leave and don't touch it again til we get home...can unlock, lock and start the ignition without touching it. Towing more than one kid at a time, that is so helpful!
It all comes down to personal preference....I don't think you could go wrong either way.
Oh, BTW, our garage has split doors so it's like driving into a single car garage - the minivan is a pain to park in/back out of the garage! If you have a garage like this too, make sure you and your wife have excellent perception of the size of your car!
