How long before you saw any change in your status? My wife submitted her documents as attachments on-line on July 16 and we are starting to wonder if we need to mail it in.

Affidavits : Received
DL or ID : Valid
Citizenship : No documentation required
Passport photo holder : Not required for renewal
Photo : Not required for renewal
Proof of Classroom training : Received
Proof of Proficiency training : Received
Proof of Special Condition : Received
Fee : Received
Background Check : Under review
Concealed Handgun License : Print pending completion of application review

Pretty fast I think.

July 9 - Accepted at DPS

Mine CHL is a renewal. Was yours a renewal or new?

Mine is a new application I have a friend who I took the class with and shipped out the packet with who just got his today so it really depends on who is processing your application at the dps.

Did the online portion for a new license on July 7, mailed the paperwork on July 10th.


Forgot about it, checked today and it says it was mailed.

ETA: Received envelope with license today, 08/03 with the letter having a postal meter date stamp of 08/02

Hi all,
First post!!!! :lol:
I did my finger printing Monday,emailed the rest of my paper the same day. Background check showed complete this morning and manufacturing. :hurry: im extra excited....I expect it by next week for sure

So I just quickly checked my status before going to work, not expecting any change this soon. Well, it FINALLY updated past the initial "application has been processed online/waiting for required materials" to the more detailed update screen and everything is received and the background check is under review. I started the application online on the 21st, mailed the 22nd, and fingerprints the 23rd. Hopefully I'll get lucky like a few others and the background check will only take a day and tomorrow it will say "manufacturing pending".

Can't wait! :hurry:

I wasn't checking too frequently, so I'm not sure. We left for 10 days of vacation and my CHL was waiting in the mailbox when we got back. Otherwise I would have been checking my status every day.
