Need Review of Texas Concealed Handgun Academy
Looking to take my renewal course here. Has anyone in the DFW area been here before? This is the only location that would work for me. They have renewal classes 7 days a week and the times are perfect and will fit better with my work schedule.
Thanks!

Only if your license is going to expire after that. Mine has been expired since April. I just haven't had time in my schedule to take a class. I've been carrying with my Arizona CWP since then.

The class was done Saturday and I have to say, the instructor was great. While he was talking about some of laws I was shaking my head thinking it doesn't sound right. But as he started elaborating was when it made sense. He made the class very fun and kept us laughing. The instructor was named Marshall King. I would recommend this place if you're not too far away. He kept referring to the guy in the front as Duck Dynasty which was funny. I did miss 2 questions on the written test, one of them was in regards to the Tx.dps site being a place to find reciprocation with other states. The other one was something about it being a a felony for messing with government documents or something of that nature. I had it right the first time and I don't know why I changed it. I did do a WHOLE LOT better on the range qualification than I did when I was a new applicant. I guess all the range time in the past 5 years paid off. My shots were better at 3 & 15 yards than it was at 10, I landed 2 rounds in the 3pt area, one near the groin and the other a couple inches away. Over-all, great place and I will take my renewal here again. Thanks again for all the reviews!

I completely forgot about the new renewal process not requiring a class come Sept 1. I guess there can still be an off chance that I may need to take the class if I forget to renew online or an unfortunate event was to occur that can impact me financially where I can't do it in time.
