How wrong?

Jon Lewis Alexander, 54, of Marionville, thwarted a robbery about 9 p.m. Sunday at Beer 30 on East Logan Street in Marionville — after the would-be robber pulled his weapon first.

I like the instant redirect...I'm not sure why the didn't follow through with firing but I wasn't there in the moment.

I don't see a reason not to engage and actually stop the threat vs having what appears to be a "come to Jesus talk" on the video.

There is an apparent advantage for Open Carrying like in this case, He was clearly open carrying and the draw was not hindered by concealment and was done with one hand.

Correct, Open Carry should be an option. Clearly in Liquor store or any clerk job a high risk occupation, open carry is very useful and helpful option.

Yes, if he was in control of the business, then he could open carry in there in Texas.

And, Marionville is a small town southwest of Springfield, MO. It is not very far from Neosho where the Crossbreed Holsters are made.

Open carry is legal in Missouri UNLESS the city puts an ordinance in place prohibiting it. There are some cities that do not allow open carry. The problem is you have to know from city to city if it is or isn't legal. It is a real pain!

Open carry is legal in Missouri UNLESS the city puts an ordinance in place prohibiting it. There are some cities that do not allow open carry. The problem is you have to know from city to city if it is or isn't legal. It is a real pain!

And some cities (like Bolivar) restrict OC to those with a valid CHL. It's a shame it's not more uniform across the state, but it's still nice to see that most cities give citizens the option.

I have a feeling the clerk has taken a life or two before in service...he probably did not want to clean brain bits off of a nice chianti...or the 7 Deadly Zins...that would be a mess!

The bad deal about it is that the perp got to keep his gun.
