I watched the news report and now I'm confused. What was she reporting on?

Basically they want to make it more difficult to legally purchase firearms, and they try to attack CHLs and link it to Castle Doctrine somehow. I'm confused about that part too, although they get castle doctrine wrong.

Then the one lady talks about hoping her kids don't get shot like they might be breaking into houses or something. Confusing.
