Converted a Coworker to Beretta Today

Post by Wildscar »

Finally made it out to the Bullet Trap today. One of the guys I work with and his wife are taking the CHL class with me in a couple weeks. They are going to use my Beretta to do the range test since they have not got one yet. He was wanting to get a Ruger P89 and rented one while we where there. He enjoyed it and was doing really well. It did have one problem but then again its a rental gun and has probably had thousands of rounds though it. He was satisfied with it. Then he shot my 92FS. He was a better shot with mine and his wife like it more than the Ruger. So I think I may had converted them to the Beretta's ;-) . We shot about 200 - 300 rounds today. His wife was timid at first but once she got into it and shot a few she had a grin from ear to ear when we where all done. My coworker made the comment that his wife was going to be the next GI Jane. Was a good day at the range and I now have my story of introducing people to shooting. If definitely a good feeling.

Way to go, WildScar! That's the way it's usually done: one neophyte at a time mentored by a friend.
The last train out of any station will not be filled with nice people.
