Allen Events Center
I picked up a couple of tickets to the Dennis Miller show in October and have never been to the Allen Events Center. I've searched and seen some discussion on this forum about the facility being city owned, therefore carry-on, but there has been some back and forth. Is there a definitive answer on whether the facility is good to go for CHL?
Cheers!

Re: Allen Events Center
It is city property. I saw 30.06 posted when the gun show was held there.

They post anyway.
Get caught carrying under 30.06 and you may or may not get arrested, depending on the policy of the LE office there.
Is it legal to carry? Yes.
The common policy seems to be to let the court figure it out.

The law is clear on this point. It won't get to court. That said, you have to be careful with these venues because of the sporting event rules.cb1000rider wrote:They post anyway.

Let's be 100% clear: LEOs may still arrest you for violating "that sign". Some departments have indicated that willingness in the past.AlaskanInTexas wrote: The law is clear on this point. I agree with you, a DA that takes it to court is a big dummie.
Re: Allen Events Center
You can't guarantee that. It is possible that you may become the test case that a young DA wants to push.AlaskanInTexas wrote:The law is clear on this point. It won't get to court. Yep, one of the reasons I err on the side of caution. I'll let one of you guys with deep pockets be the test case.Keith B wrote:You can't guarantee that. IF arrested you will probably beat the charges but you will have to sell your guns to pay the lawyer
