Temporary drivers license

Post by tommyg »

I have a temporary driver's license since my regular license wasabout to expire.
It is a Black and white with a low quality image of me on a sheet of printer paper.
Is this a valid ID for carry.??I know I have to carry a drivers license or DPS Id along with my CHL. :confused5
DPS took my Drivers license that was close to expire date at their office when I went
in to renew my drivers license.

YES- It's the state issued driver's license, even though it's a "Black and white with a low quality image of me on a sheet of printer paper." You are required to carry a valid license, not a quality license!

Also, if there's ever a question, your license number is on it as well.

Technically, I think ID is not required for the 46.15 exception to 46.02. Only the CHL card is.

I'm not talking about the (no penalty) requirement to display. Only the UCW (crime) defense.
