How is the Sneaky Pete to wear?
My question is how is the SP to wear especially when it comes to getting in and out of a car or sitting down.
Does it tend to want to come off your belt (if it's a clip model) when you sit down or get in a car? It seems that it would be in just the wrong spot if it was at you 3oclock and you sat down. It seems it would hit the chair and push up and try to come off the belt.
Of course a loop version would keep that from happening but it would still try. It seems that it would just be always in the way.
Can anyone bring some experience to bear to this question for me.
Thanks,
tex

I talked to someone who uses a Sneaky Pete. He takes it off when he gets in his truck. And doesn't always remember to put it back on...
If you take it off in the car/truck, it'd be interesting to test clipping it onto your seat belt. Might not feel too good in an accident, though.

I wear my SP when I wear a sport coat or suit. The style fits that dress. I have a belt loop model for a Ruger LCP. I wear it at the 4 o'clock, but it can slide between the loops as needed. The only thing I have to watch is that it will catch on the seat belt receiver when I first sit down and I have to adjust, but all other carry is very comfortable.

I have the belt clip SP for my LCP. I can't get that damn thing to come off accidentally. I have to pull my belt off or pry the clip open to get it to let go. I wear a good solid double layer leather carry belt and that combination is rock solid.
As mentioned, it does slide between belt loops and I've found this very handy. I do have to slide it fore/aft when doing the in/out car thing but it's habit now and doesn't bother me. If your console/seatbelt is tight against you when you get in then it might be an issue, I'm a hefty guy and I have to work my seatbelt when buckling up but I've figured out the motion and it's easy now. I like how I can move it to access my back or front pocket really easily.
draw from it is quite fast. like anything else don't expect to clip it on and go get in trouble. practice with it. I've found the flap does a fantastic job of keeping my shirt/jacket out of the way for me while I draw.

Are you able to draw from it one handed or do you need to hold the flap up with your off hand while you draw? In the videos on the SP website, they only show the carrier holding the case open with their off hand while drawing, I'd prefer not to have to do that.jsenner wrote: draw from it is quite fast. like anything else don't expect to clip it on and go get in trouble. practice with it. I also have a Sneaky Pete for summer wear when a cover vest is too hot. No problems for my compact 9mm option. Only problem is that my Galco 1.5" heavy duty belt is hard to thread through the loops...very tight fit. No issues when wearing in a vehicle.

Re: How is the Sneaky Pete to wear?
There's a older fella about 65-70 that shows up at the local coffee shop wearing two sneaky petes, a phone case and a knife pouch all on his belt. I keep expecting him to show up with a handcuff case and CHL badge next.
Apparently, he's a fan of the sneaky pete. I keep thing I want to get a picture of him to use as my avatar.
