After 11 months, My 2 stamp AR15 is ALIVE!

Post by APynckel »

After an 11 month wait (paperwork submitted Dec 20th 2012, check cashed Feb 5th, approved Nov 5th 2013), I FINALLY got my SBR paperwork approved. So I present to you, my 8.5" barreled suppressed 300 BLK Ar15

ignore the optics, they're temporary just to get lead downrange. Don't know what I'll wind up finally going with.

:iagree:

I don't know if the OPs beautiful 2-stamp gun will be shooting at anything out to or beyond 100 yards. Maybe just for fun to see if it can do it, but it's built for CQB.

Yea, don't think I'm going to bother shooting at anything past 100 yards with this. Really is no point in doing so. I have the Grendel and the .308 bolt action for that.

I am making due with the redfield for now until I have income again.

Very nice. I'd throw an Aimpoint and a Surefire on there and use it for home defense. Short, handy, and if you have to use it you can still hear afterwards.

That's what I was thinking. I want something a little better than 4 or 2 moa for POA resolution though. I still like shooting at the range and making small groups.

Any range report on the little beauty yet?

I'm not that worried about small groupings too much any more. I still try for them to maintain good control, but as long as the holes are still COM I'm happy. This is all with rapid fire, of course.

I've only done 30 yard stuff so far. Local range is revamping their 50. I'll get some this week. But at 30 yards, I can stack the rounds in a single hole, subs or supers.
