I don't buy that. My kids play video games and....we have guns in the house that they know how to get to, and have known for years, since we were broken into, I felt it was very important for them to be able to protect themselves and each other.

Nope, one word, parents.

I sincerely hope you are right. Keep an eye on them. The fantasy world of video games can entrap them before you know what happened. A childhood filled with mayhem, violence and slaughter doesn't mean they will become active shooters but it sure doesn't help.
