Bush looses his watch

Post by TxD »

Interesting video of President Bush being greeted by Albanian
admirers. His watch gets stolen around the 55 sec mark.

Had to be a nightmare for the Secret Service.

I wonder if it's on e-bay yet?

I'm sure it was a headache for the SS, either way.

Being an ardent Ron Paul supporter, I was amused while watching video of the various candidates at the New Hampshire debates, and at campaign events outside the debates. Hillary Clinton and Barrack Obama had carefully staged events, standing on a platform surrounded by a "security moat" filled with Secret Service agents. When they ventured into crowds, they were surrounded by a phalanx of agents. (And they were surrounded by far more cameras than voters.)

Meanwhile, Ron Paul waded into a throng of 300+ fans packed into Murphy's Taproom, trailed by one overwhelmed and befuddled NH state trooper.

The SS "ready posture" is very easy to spot. There are many agents you don't see, but the ones selected to "take the bullet" are very obvious.

Edit: it occurs to me that I'm one of those who have questioned why certain OT threads get locked, while others are allowed to continue. This is definitely OT. I don't mind OT threads, but I do like consistent application of the rules. So, moderators... take your vote, do your thing.
