A Pasadena man is in custody, accused of banging his daughter's head against the pavement on Christmas morning.

Miguel Diaz, 44, is charged with injury to a child. According to Pasadena police, at around midnight, Diaz was driving with his three children in the car when for some reason, he pulled over near Preston and Washington, took his five-year-old daughter out of the car and started to bang her head against the pavement.

Police say a passer-by saw what was happening, called police and detained Diaz until they arrived.

Awesome American for stopping the assault and detaining the bully. This very normal act of doing what's right is not done very much at all these days. I'm glad we still have normal people out there that don't put up with thuggish behavior.

Wow! Reminds me of the days as a kid, riding around in the back seat of the car. Picking at each other and arguing nonstop. My mom use to say, "you boys better knock it off! You don't want me to pull over". We never took her up on the offer but now I am glad we didn't. I had no idea how serious she was... .
