Two Shot in Domestic Disturbance

Two people were treated for gunshot wounds after a double shooting Sunday in northwest Harris County.

About 3:30 p.m., deputies received a call from a home in the 1600 block of Cheshire Grove, finding the caller, a 53-year-old woman, shot in the upper arm and a 53-year-old man with a gunshot to the head in another room, said Harris County Sheriff's Office spokesman deputy Thomas Gilliland. He described the woman's injury as treatable and said the man was taken to Memorial Hermann in critical condition.

"The female stated she'd been shot by her boyfriend then she thinks he might have shot himself," Gilliland said. He said, however, investigators are still working to confirm the woman's story.
