When I was a kid the wings were what was left in the bottom of the bucket.

Yep.... and flank steak was what the poor people ate. I know... we were poor. Somebody made it cool to eat wings. Now they cost you a buck a pop or more and flank steak became "fajita's" and cost as much as a T Bone.Jaguar wrote:When I was a kid the wings were what was left in the bottom of the bucket.

Thanks, for a minute there, I was visualizing an old "FAR SIDE" cartoon of a boneless chicken ranch.03Lightningrocks wrote:Also known as "chicken nuggets".Oldgringo wrote:Boneless wingsRight2Carry wrote:I used to frequent BBW (was smoke free) in Mansfield, but since they now allow smoking in the bar I have stopped going. Exactly, you should have seen the look on my mom's face when I told her how to make fajita. She grew up poor in OK and her dad worked at processing plant so they got all the "fajita meat" they could stomach.03Lightningrocks wrote:Yep.... and flank steak was what the poor people ate. LOL... I just pray nobody makes eating fried liver and onions cool. I will shoot myself if the yuppies screw that one up.Jaguar wrote:Exactly, you should have seen the look on my mom's face when I told her how to make fajita. The "FAR SIDE" and "CALVIN and HOBBES" cartoons and comic strip are what sold newspapers back in the day.
BTW, chickens don't have nuggets. Chickens are the ones what lay the eggs.

I wonder how you saw that at BWW? I don't inspect either of the IHOPs in Plano. You are welcome to look up their scores and inspection reports yourself.03Lightningrocks wrote: That is great. But coming from my first hand account, that place is disgusting. A+ rating only means on the day you were there they met the minimum requirements to pass the test. Unless you have a video camera on the place 24/7, health inspection ratings mean little to nothing. I watched them drop chicken wings on the floor, scrape them up and throw them back into the bowl for cooking. I almost got in a fight with them over it. How about that?
Stay out of that place folks. The anti gun stance alone is enough reason. The filthy conditions when they think nobody is looking is secondary.
Just curious...What rating do you give that IHOP on 75 between 15th and Plano Pkwy? We haven't gone back in there since we spotted the waiters in the kitchen sucking nitrous from the whip cream cans.

People huffing nitrous off whipped cream cans...that's funny.

Not nearly as funny as a City official saying it's funny.healthinsp wrote:03Lightningrocks wrote: That is great. But coming from my first hand account, that place is disgusting. Here's the deal: Expect all restaurant kitchens to be filthy, but you hardly ever get food poisoning, so quitcher bellyachin.
Remember when that doofus Maaaaaaaaaaarvin Zinler was on the prowl?
Heck, he rarely found a kitchen in any restaurant that wasn't filthy with rat droppings, slaaaaaaaaaaaahhmm in the ice machine and filthy this and filthy that.
Yet, few people seem to suffer for it.

That particular location made me sick as all get out. My belly aching did stop...after a couple days.Abraham wrote:Here's the deal: Expect all restaurant kitchens to be filthy, but you hardly ever get food poisoning, so quitcher bellyachin.
