Anti-rape wear

Post by rp_photo »

I'm thinking that a concealed handgun is the most effective anti-rape wear:

Can anyone see a law suit if the product fails to work?

It might have a net positive placebo effect. By putting them on everyday the woman would be reminded that rape can occur even to her. This could lead to an increase in situational awareness. Avoidance and high situational awareness trumphs many other factors

Picture out. LT

Wouldn't it be simplier to wear an old time chastity belt and leave the key at home?

I will not address the "simpler", but I can say a firearm and situational awareness is more EFFECTIVE. There are a lot of things an attacker can do besides rape that amount to the same or worse abuse. I imagine an attacker who becomes frustrated with the difficulty of removing the garment will be very likely to resort to plan b or simply proceed with the rest of plan a. The entire idea seems to be about as stupid as the women who would actually think it will result in an attacker saying; "...Well, darn! I give up." .. and leave peacefully.

I guess in NY this makes more sense than getting the law changed so you can carry a gun.......

Seems this might have some deterrent effect against "date rape", and buy a bit of time in other cases.
