1942 Mosin Nagant SOLD

Post by 74novaman »

Need to make room, so I'm selling some guns I don't use. First up is a 1942 Izhevsk Mosin Nagant.

Image

The good: Bore and crown both look good, plenty of deep rifling left. Cosmoline has been removed, and the bolt is completely smooth: If you open it, it will slide open just using gravity. Bolt operation isn't remotely close to sticky, so no 2x4 and hammer needed to manipulate this one. It'll be a great shooter.

The bad: No accessories, and the front barrel band is missing.

It will also come with 40 rounds of surplus 7.62x54r ammo.

These have gone up in price lately :???: , and by the time you factor in shipping and transfer fees, good luck getting one from online for any less than $150. Most shops seem to be hovering at that price point as well these days.

Your price for both the Mosin and 40 rounds of 7.62 is $100. Texas DL required, CHL preferred. I am not interested in negotiating, shipping or traveling far to deliver it. I'd prefer to meet FTF in the Temple/Belton/Killeen area. I will deliver as far as Waco or Round Rock for another $20.

IMs on this site is the best way to reach me, first IM saying "I'll take it" gets it.

If my wife agreed with that sentiment it wouldn't be for sale.

The for sale post was made a week ago.

I do have another gun for sale in another thread that's unspoken for. ;-)
