CHL Class recommendations, New Braunfels

Post by poodlini »

Good morning everyone. I'm looking for a recommendation to a CHL Class in the New Braunfels area. I'm new to Texas from the state of Kommiefornia. Seeing as I know hardly anybody here, I was hoping I could get a couple recommendations on a CHL Instructor in my area. Would prefer someone who offers the class in NB but that's not a deal breaker. Also, would want someone who does other courses as well such as a Basic Handgun course for a buddy and his wife (they moved out here at the same time from Kommiefornia), and maybe even some more advanced stuff. Any recommendations you guys have would be great...Thanks,

Sorry, I can't answer any of your questions. I'm up in the D/FW area, but just wanted to welcome you to the forum. :cheers2:

Welcome to Texas. You might try Dietz Gun Range for info about instructors in the area. Their website doesn't mention CHL, but they've been around for years and years so they may have info you seek. Also try the NRA website for ranges in the area. http://findnra.nra.org/ I know there' a new one in Buda some one posted about recently.

I just remembered there's also a range on FM 1863, Cedar Ridge I think.
Edit: This may be what you're looking for. Found this on Cedar Ridge website http://www.cedarridgerange.com/Texas_Conceal_Carry.html

If Cabela's isn't too far north for you, they sponsor classes.

Well, not sure but a google search showed several in your area.
Might see if anyone has reviewed them.

Thanks for the replies. I'll definitely look into Dietz. I did Google this before posting but, was wanting some other opinions as well.

Also I didn't realize that Cabella's sponsored classes. Will definitely look into this.

Thanks everyone!

Tactical Safety Institute is north of San Antonio, near Rolling Hills Mall, has a pretty good class, convenient scheduling. http://www.tac-safe.com/.

I moved here from Coronado this summer. I should say "back here" because I grew up here, a long, long time ago.
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.
