SOLD: Final Reduction - S&W 686 3" Barrel SS .38 Special +P

Post by QB »

LNIB S&W 686 3" barrel, adjustable rear sights, SS. This is a .38 special +P model (NOT .357 mag), very hard to find, especially a 3". I've only seen two for sale in the past couple of years. Purchased new and it's been in my safe ever since. Buying some other handguns so I'm selling some of my "never fired" guns.

$740 +$25 shipping from my FFL to buyer's FFL within the 48 Continental United States.
Will sell FTF within the DFW metro area.
OFFERS CONSIDERED.

Cash or money order only.

This gun had some tooling marks in a couple of the chambers and was sent back to S&W. They replaced the cylinder and I have the invoice, showing that S&W factory did the work. Gun is in unfired condition (except factory tested) with all paperwork, case, etc.

Please let me know if you'd like additional pictures, I just took a bunch of them for an inquiry I got last week. The black looking smudge on the S&W logo is just a shadow or poor picture, there isn't a black mark on the gun.

Last reduction and then I'll just put back in safe and sell in a year or so. Thanks for looking.

A three-inch barrel is a nice size in a revolver, that's a really nice gun. Sigh. So many other guns, ammo, car repairs....

Ahhhh shucks.........thanks. :D

This is my all time favorite revolver and it took me forever to find it. But......I have less expensive ones that are fine for my use. I was selling in order to purchase some other guns but that has fallen by the wayside. I recently scheduled cataract surgery for BOTH my eyes (March and April) and insurance does a poor job at covering the costs so I am now selling guns to help pay for the bills that will be on the say. I just sold two NIB Glocks and once this one sells I'll see what else I can part with.

But not to worry, I will still have some nice guns to shoot (I refuse to sell all of them........would rather go out and flip hamburgers......hahaha).

Anyway, about the S&W. This is a really nicely balanced gun, the 3" is my favorite barrel hands down. Even if I kept it, I can't bear to shoot it since it took me a long time to find. Unfortunately the dealer was in Texas so it ended up costing me $893 plus shipping (yes, was too far to drive to go get it). I've regretted gun sales before but I'm hoping someone will buy it that really loves revolvers and can give it a good home (and shoot it).
