I don't know that they wanted to run off tax revenue...somebody has to pay for the socialist lifestyle. It is a victory in the sense that 1) it impacts voters through jobs and tax revenue, which could have an impact on elected officials if enough of the jobs and revenue leave the state; and 2) It is the fruition of the policies in which many people warned about. No theoretical outcome of what may happen....this did happen with a direct correlation to the law that caused it. The only question for me is, how many of these instances are needed to wake people up to their choices?sparkyfender wrote:Isn't this exactly what the progressives in New York wanted?
I'm not sure how much of a "victory" this really is.........

I'm thrilled that so many gun manufacturers are deciding "enough is enough" and moving out of (or expanding outside of) hostile states, and taking their tax dollars and economic benefit with them. NY Gov. Cuomo has been on the defensive since the announcement; his aids keep repeating that no Remington jobs in NY are being lost, however, the 2,000 new jobs were essentially lost by NY when Remington decided to locate them in Alabama. That's a lot of tax revenue and economic benefit that now won't support the gun-grabbing status quo in NY.
