Jaywalkers who cry like babies when they are arrested are up 200%. :smilelol5:
LOL

Austin was a liberal mecca BEFORE CA started moving here........................

I'd proffer there's a big difference between hippy power and California left. One is mellow and makes fun of itself (Hippy Hollow, Eyore's birthday) and one isn't (the current SXXW, current City Council).

I live next door "Between a Rock and a wierd place" in Pville. Great city, safe city and with a minimum of 14 units out running radar a city you DO NOT speed in "rlol"
Never realized we were actually neighbors -- howdy! :tiphat: We've been in this particular section of the Austin area for about two years now and have grown very fond of it. ...
Not to mention y'all have such an awesome FFL dealer in the city (Hint: Not "Red's" ) :tiphat:

And Pf definitely has a low crime rate, but as population increases (and with the new waterpark coming), I expect that will change, unfortunately.

We look forward to the water park. Just wondering how they will set up the traffic. I would prefer the entrance/exit to be on the toll frontage, but I'm sure the businesses across the street want easy access...... should be good times :thumbs2:

So the plans for the waterpark are still a go? Where are they going to get the water?

They stated in article that after they fill it up, it uses no more then a golf course for a year. I personally don't play golf, but do like water....

I hear ya. If I were them I'd be preserving that water. I'd bet good money that the greater Austin area now uses more water than can be provided in a normal year, much less the continuing drought. Lake Travis is now a bunch of mini ponds.

I hear that view, but my opinion is that if we are going to keep watering all the golf courses, why not have a water park in HOT Texas? We don't play golf and drive past our course every day. I also see my neighbors watering their lawns pretty much every night when I come home from work regardless of the restrictions, yet I can't even wash my car?

In think that is going to change in the relative near term. No water is amazing clarifier of priorities. :cheers2:

I hear that. But Texas really has to get on board. If the yard turns yellow the HOA gets on you. You can't water enough under the restrictions. I for one comply and the yard shows. We could have some great water less landscaping, but it's not allowed. Time for HOA's to step up and realize there are other options besides grass. My corner lot is HUGE and it has a LOT of grass. It's pretty easy to tell who abides and who doesn't by the color of their yard in July :cheers2:

Well in Austin proper during the mega drought year there were rulings that water conservation trumps HOAs.
