Re: WTB. Small .22 rifle
Given the current unavailability of .22 ammo, she might be better served with a quality pellet gun. Just sayin'....

Re: WTB. Small .22 rifle
I hope you find the perfect new rifle for your granddaughter to cherish and pass down to her children. Things to consider....
The Crickett requires one to "ride the cocked bolt home" to the un-cocked position while pulling the trigger in order to unload a live round. Not a very user friendly action for a young person. Manual below. See unloading. (i'm not aware of any different model from Crickett)
http://crickett.com/pdf/manual.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The Savage Youth Model allows one to unload a live round by engaging the safety to safe and working the bolt. Much easier than pulling the trigger and riding a bolt home. Manual below.

I'm not trying to bash Crickett Rifles, you get what you pay for. The Savage is more expensive at just under $190.
Cheers and good luck in your search!

I would suggest shooting one first they are not a fun, and for what they cost you would do better to buy local.gfmun wrote:are you wanting to sell it?

Bought a Henry Youth lever action for the Grandsons for under $300 and it is flawless. While it was a little too big for the 6 year old it was perfect for the 8 year old.

A used Crickett from a guy whose daughter out grew it. I have not picked it up yet.

That outgrowing thing happens very quickly with the cricket.gfmun wrote:A used Crickett from a guy whose daughter out grew it. I have not picked it up yet.
