Good for the clerks for standing up for themselves. Glad they learned to keep their protection a little more accessible.

Doesn't say how far into it that the police were alerted, but an hour is a long long time for a gunfight. Actual time may not have been as long as an hour, but I'm sure it felt that way.
Regardless, it proves the point that people must first take measures to protect themselves rather than be solely dependent on 911.

No one who ever dreamed they could be in an extended gunfight would ever say, "glad I brought a 5 shot j-frame", "glad I brought a little pocket .380", or "jeez, I wish I hadn't brought too much ammo".

How unfair...the poor guy has two kids....he was probably just trying to be a good father and take care of his family....those greedy store clerks took the food right off his family's table, just when he was about to turn his life around.

I suspect Patel, in hindsight, would now rather the hoodlum got away with a couple large than do a 100 large damage to his store?
Patel is an Indian (India) cast/name, I wonder if the gun toting employees were Indian as well?

If you believe some people, insurance won't cover the damage because the employees were armed.
