WTS Nice S&W Mod 64-5 4" Stainless Revolver

Post by TexasGal »

Need cash. A nice stainless steel Smith & Wesson 6 shot revolver with 4" bbl in .38spl. It shoots nice. Is very clean, and has the original hammer spur in place (not bobbed). It has that smooth trigger smiths are known for. This is the square butt model. With my short fingers, the trigger reach is not quite ideal for me. That is the only reason this gun was chosen to sell for my cash needs and I really hate to let it go. It does not have MIM parts. This is a solid clean gun. It was purchased used through an FFL. Will sell FTF to another Texas CHL holder.

Edited to add: I am asking $425. It comes with a S&W box and paperwork of about the right time but it is likely not the original box to this gun. The Serial number begins in BNW. According to my research, this gun was mfg in March of 1993. It has no internal lock. It will shoot +P ammo. Does not seem to be a former LEO gun. At least I do not see any markings to indicate that. Grip is a S&W medallion wood grip. If you have never shot a K frame Smith like this, you are missing something. Happy to send pics by text or email. Just PM me.

I have one of those. It is a really neat 6 shot revolver and quite accurate - all things considered. I like mine so much that I bought a holster to carry it in.

If I were in DFW, this one wouldn't last long. I still like revolvers with hammers.
