Free Sig

Post by nuparadigm »

Everyone but me may have already known about this, but Sigarms is giving away a free Sig on a monthly basis.

OK, I'm going to do you all a favor so you don't waste your time.

Don't bother entering the drawing, as I just entered and intend on winning  . I just want to save you the time and trouble (and heartbreak  of not winning).

Thanks,

Gary

I went ahead and entered to save grillking the trouble of having it shipped to an FFL dealer. I'll let you guys know how it shoots after I win it.

If I win it, I'll sell it to one of y'all at a good price so I can get what I really want.

Sure it can! I absolutely trust this is a valid contest.

Because it makes sense. Lot of marketing buz amongst gun folks to be had by offering a free gun. Heck; I even entered.

That SIG retails for about $900, so you do the math on their cost (I really don't know what their mark-up might be). But even $900 doesn't buy much advertising space...though it can garner a whole lot of email addresses for repeated SIG follow-up emails and direct marketing, plus the kind of word-of-mouth (so to speak) marketing exposure we see happening right here.

And guess what? I'll bet most of us--the target audience--look at all the gun-related stuff they get. I'll quickly trash other advertising emails/junkmail, but I have a hard time throwing away gun-stuff until I look through it. I have a hard time trashing my old Wilson Combat catalogs, and I even inspect each page of a Chip McCormick flyer.

I don't own a SIG and have never really thought about owning a SIG. But I registered to win a SIG and now I'll receive promo material. And I won't mind receiving it; I'll look at it. Me and umpteen others.

Heckuva marketing value for less than 900 bucks.

I strongly encourage ALL firearm manufacturers to adopt this best-practice. [hint]A monthly giveaway of a featured gun is a small marketing investment that can reap big rewards.[/hint]

Definitely a great marketing tactic.
