was it only the gun stolen? If so I think I would be asking more questions like who knew where it was? How good is your relationship? Is there life insurance on you. What kind of people does he hang with .... and the questions keep coming.

I would report it and get an alarm system designed for apartments.

jm1792,
Are you from some very blue state? (though I've yet to understand why leftists states aren't characterized to the more befitting color of red, but I digress...)
Gun registration isn't something Texans will tolerate...
Gun registration, arrrgggghhhhh!

I think a good CHL instructor should have at least basic knowledge of federal gun laws. Familiarity with the BAT-FAQ is a minimum standard before I would recommend an instructor to friends, neighbors or coworkers.

Based on the total lack of results when I was a robbery victim, and the same when my car was burglarized, I wouldn't waste my time with a police report unless I needed the rubber stamp for an insurance claim.Javier730 wrote:call the police and give them the serial number. Hope you have it.

It has only been federal law since the Gun Control Act of 1968:
18 U.S. Code § 922(a)(5) wrote:(a) It shall be unlawful—
(5) for any person (other than a licensed importer, licensed manufacturer, licensed dealer, or licensed collector) to transfer, sell, trade, give, transport, or deliver any firearm to any person (other than a licensed importer, licensed manufacturer, licensed dealer, or licensed collector) who the transferor knows or has reasonable cause to believe does not reside in (or if the person is a corporation or other business entity, does not maintain a place of business in) the State in which the transferor resides; except that this paragraph shall not apply to
(A) the transfer, transportation, or delivery of a firearm made to carry out a bequest of a firearm to, or an acquisition by intestate succession of a firearm by, a person who is permitted to acquire or possess a firearm under the laws of the State of his residence, and
(B) the loan or rental of a firearm to any person for temporary use for lawful sporting purposes;
