GP-100 Back From Gemini Customs

Well it's been raining here in this part of Texas for about 5 days now, so getting to the range for a report will be a while. In the interim here are some pics of Gemini Customs work on the 3" GP-100 I sent for an overhaul. I am chompin' at the bit to get her to the range.....

Marc removed the billboard and C.A.I. from this side and polished the ends of the pins where they come through the frame and crane.

I love the bead blast finish and notice how he rounded and polished the trigger

A view of the muzzle. The package includes recrowning for accuracy

You can really see the trigger work here, and the DA pull is smooth as glass.

Nuff said, indeed! Very nice! I have the 4" version and had not considered any upgrades until now. Can she still be shot single action?

Thanks for all the compliments. I really like how the gun turned out as well. The gun is not new, as a matter of fact it is one or the "reimported" guns sold by CAI. This one came from a police force in Canada and had been shot very little. Before sending it off I put 500 rounds through it. I was very pleased with my purchase. It came from the factory double action only, without a hammer spur. Mark polishes the back as you see in the picture. I dont know how good thats gonna be if I am shooting in bright sunlight. It might get brushed....time will tell.

It took about 8 weeks to get it back, luckily he was about to start on a bunch of GP's when I sent mine in. The only thing I decided to have him leave out is the HybraPorting of the barrel. I have no trouble controling muzzle rise in this gun and the posibility of having to fire from the hip and have the ports, in the top of the barrel, spray me with burnt powder and possibly lead......and I just felt that was an un-necessary item.

I was fortunate enough to find the grips about a month ago. They were made by Butler Creek and unfortunately no longer made. I found a set for my Redhawk and for the GP-100.

If it ever quit's raining here in this part of Texas, I will get it to the range for a report.
