Gun purses should be heavy leather and they should have a separate pocket for the gun that keeps it from being visible when you open your purse at the store, etc. A side-entry gun pocket is preferred over one you enter through the top of the purse.

Chas.
Same. Her purse is purpose built with a side pocket and built in holster. Considering her small frame its difficult to think of where else she would keep it.
On the positive, having a purse allows her to carry an absolute cannon...

Like everything else you have to practice with it.

I'm 5'3" and 120lb. I carry an LCP. I've carried a revolver, it was a little bigger. I have an LC9 also. you can do it. you absolutely have to play with holsters, you have to figure out what clothing options work, but I really didn't change much. My Kusiak holster puts my gun low enough, I don't want too much of it above my waist band. I have my thigh holster that works for me. I don't carry anything heavier in my purse because I have a shoulder injury and that would just make it worse, but I also don't carry in my purse very often.

:iagree: I'm not tiny, but at 5'8" I'm about 130-135 lbs. Not a whole lot of territory for hiding anything, but I've had no trouble with my Crossbreed Supertuck. I generally carry my M&P Shield, but I can conceal my M&P 9c just fine as well. I don't carry a purse anyway, and if I did I'd be afraid I'd leave it somewhere. I've never been a purse person, so not leaving it behind just isn't ingrained for me. With three small kids in the house and the frequency with which we're around other small kids, it just doesn't work for me. I don't want to have to carry my purse all over the playground, and of course I can't leave a purse with a gun in it sitting in the stroller basket while I push the kids on the swings.
