The puzzling murder of a young Iranian medical student who was "hit" in the Houston Galleria area may have been solved.

She was an outspoken critic of Iran and to me her murder was very strange. She was driving in her car on her town house grounds when someone shot her in the head through the car window. She was not robbed or assaulted . Most pretty 24 year old women don't have a lot of enemies. There were no ex boyfriend issues either.

I always assumed it may have been the Iranian government or an Iranian government supporter. It was a cold case, since it was two years ago.

Well what do you know. They have arrested her friends father, Ali Mahwood-Awad Irsan. It may have been some kind of an "honor" killing. Seems the husband of his daughter was also murdered last year. He was a twin brother of the murdered girl's boyfriend. (its hard keeping this straight in my head)
