M&P15SP(X) ?

Post by SQLGeek »

Without starting a DI vs Piston debate, I just want to know if anybody have any experience with the M&P15SP or X model with the quad rail handguard? I haven't seen them before today and was intrigued by them. Evidently they're built on the Adams Arms piston mechanism but I don't know much else about them.

I must be not be looking hard enough but I haven't found any recent reviews of them and most forum threads I come across say "Just get an X brand piston or DI instead."

For those of you wondering, I'm mainly interested in a piston AR for ease of cleaning. It is probably heretical to say this but I don't really like cleaning guns.

Adams is decent enough. I enjoyed my LMT except for the weight.

Which LMT did you have?

This one? Nice looking gun but the $2000 price tag online kind of scares me.
