CZ 75 Compact for a Kahr. DFW face to face with CHL

Post by saltydog452 »

I really, really tried to like the 75 Compact. Geo Smith at EGW made a thumb safety that has a wider 'ledge', kinda sorta like a 1911. But me and the Compact still didn't become best of friends, so its time to cut it loose. It has tritium sights.

If you have a pocket size Kahr and would like to try the CZ Compact, maybe we can work out some sort of exchange. Preferably we'd meet at a range and we'd both bring our own ammunition, kick the tires, and take each for a test drive.

That seems to be a reasonable way to go about doing this.

Shame you're in DFW, I'd entertain this idea otherwise.

Yes, it is a shame. I don't much like what DFW has become. But this is where we landed in 1968, kids were raised here, and 7/10 Grandkids are within driving distance.

Where are you and whatcha got?

What kind of kahr you looking for? I have a kahr k40 that I may be interested in swapping. It needs a new guide rod spring and is pretty beat but internally is an excellent shooter. Let me know if you're, just text me at 817-223-5789. Thanks.

Looking for a 'pocket' rocket mini-blaster in 9X19.

At this point in my life, the CZ is way beyond reduntant. Can't see that it can surpass a 228 or a BHP in double wide mag utility. The fact that arthritis in now a major player in my decisions doesn't add points on the CZ Compact side of the ledger.

I tried to like it, but it just didn'twork out that way.

Thanks,

I'm in Houston and I have a Kahr CM9 that isn't getting much carry time since I picked up my S&W Shield.

It was worth a try. About as far South on the I35/I45 Raceway that I normally travel is Austin and College Station.

Shipping expense would be cost prohibitive. We tried, but it just didn't work out.

Bump.

I'm still up for some kind of swap. Preferably for a mini Kahr 9X19 pocket rocket. And within driving range of the DFW Construction Metro Mess.

Thanks,

I have a Kahr PM9 I don't carry any longer. I'm not sure I want to trade but make me a cash offer. I'm in D/FW.

Prices for the micro Kahr seem to bounce around from 300 to 800.

What do you consider to be a reasonable price that'd be fair to both buyer and seller?

PMs welcome.

If you do a cash deal on the Kahr, I'd be interested to hear what you want for the CZ-75. That's been on my thinkin about it list.
